It's Thanksgiving week.

So we are replaying our interview with Maria Teresa Kumar because it's one of the rare great ones, one of the rare good ones, really.

And this was our first one that we aired.

And Maria Teresa is head of Voto Latino.

And she talks here about a number of things about voting, about voter suppression.

She talks a lot about the time we were doing this.

There was a lot of talk about the wall, about the wall and about status of migrants and kids.

And it is turned out that it is even worse than we thought NBC News came out with something

about a week ago.

69,550 migrant children have been detained in the U.S. this year, away from their parents.

The piece starts off with a heartbreaking story where a dad was separated from his three-year-old daughter,

and by the time they get together,

she will not look at him.

She believes that he is responsible for them being separated, and this is trauma.

This is the kind of trauma that it is heartbreaking.

I have a three-year-old granddaughter,

and the idea of doing that to a three-year-old.

It's just horrible.

It's just horrible.

And, of course, I'll be having Thanksgiving dinner with her

and her six-year-old brother and her four-year-old cousin and her seven-month-old cousin.
