0:34.0	about nettles and today we're talking about one that I know quite a bit less
0:37.7	about than I did about those prior to and that would be chickweed so I'm kind of
0:42.3	going to let you drive the show on this one.
0:44.4	What should we know about chickweed?
0:47.0	Yes, lovely little chickweed.
0:49.1	Well, it's botanical name is Stolaria Media,
0:52.2	and it does have some look-alikes out there so you want to be sure
0:55.1	that you really are looking at chickweed when you're out and about and I love this
1:00.4	little starry plant it's one of my very favorite wild edibles and it loves to grow in gardens and sometimes is planted even intentionally as a cover crop, but it can be difficult to get rid of once it's around. So I just kind of enjoy it where it's already at.
1:16.6	And it grows pretty close to the ground and kind of a dense mat.
1:20.8	It's really easy to harvest.
1:22.1	It has these stems and leaves, so it's kind of this fleshy
1:27.0	plants and these little tiny flowers and you can just go through with scissors and snip them off and the taste of them is so bright and
1:36.2	delicious.
