your host, Joe Tweets. Hello everyone and welcome back to the King's Road Podcast. I am your

host, Joe Tweets and today we are going to take a fascinating look at Chelsea off the pitch.

As we explore, I think we've worked on by both the Chelsea Foundation and also the club's role

in society through a variety of initiatives. I am delighted to say that joining me today

are two special guests from the club, Rola Brennan, who is the head of a special project at

Chelsea and also joined by Simon Taylor, head of the Chelsea Foundation. Now before I have Rola

and Simon sort of introduced themselves, I just wanted to set the scene a tiny bit for the episode,

as somebody who at least likes to think that there's sort of some sort of cute up kind of Chelsea

fan, the research for this episode I think was kind of mind-blowing for me, you know, absolutely

kind of blown away by the number of initiatives that the club is involved in, that it oversees,

that it sort of conducts around the globe. And I think certainly from my perspective,

it seems like a good opportunity to highlight some of these initiatives and to present the club

in. I think the light that it should be, certainly when it comes to sort of media scrutiny and

everything, everyone likes to focus on the negatives with every football club, but I think certainly

from what I've been reading and certainly what I've been researching, that both the foundation

and certainly in terms of the initiatives that the Chelsea are involved in, I think it certainly

goes to show that there's a lot more than the meets the hour when it comes to Chelsea. So,

yeah, I wanted to thank you both before we sort of kick off here in terms of the sort of

incredible work that you both are managing and overseeing, I think obviously isn't here to sort of
