Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu walked back comments that seemingly dismissed Israel's latest U.S-backed ceasefire proposal.

Speaking to Israel's parliament today, he said the war won't end until all remaining hostages

are returned and said, quote, we are committed to the Israeli proposal.

That proposal outlined by President Joe Biden laid out conditions intended to

release the remaining hostages in return for a permanent ceasefire and the withdrawal of

Israeli forces. His latest comments come a day after an interview with local Israeli

media where he said he was ready to make quote a partial deal with Hamas to return some hostages still being held captive in Gaza,

but reiterated that the war would continue after a ceasefire to eliminate Hamas.
