Vice President Kamil Harris, and her running mate Governor Tim Walls.

The Democratic National Convention kicks off in Chicago tonight.

President Joe Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are among tonight's big

speakers.

But what's happening outside the venue is also drawing attention.

CNN's David Ryan is in Chicago with the latest.

That's right, if I'm, I am about a half mile from the United

Center where the convention is taking place in Union Park.

This is where the March on the DNC is going to originate. It's being billed as the largest

demonstration here this week and right now there are hundreds of people kind of milling about

listening to speeches and music waving flags in the air before they actually start

marching and of course you see a lot of Palestinian flags in the air.

The war in Gaza has really energized people to call for change in the way the

Biden administration is conducting its Israel policy and they say they're going to keep marching and making their voices heard until they hear some of those deliverables.

In the meantime there are lots of cops on bikes just waiting on the outside of this thing.

They're taking no chances even though this is outside the perimeter of the convention.

There will be lots of people on the move momentarily.

And as the DNC gets underway, the three Republican committees leading the impeachment

inquiry into President Biden have finally released their report.
