0:13.0	I'm doing great and looking forward to having a great conversation about the conversation we had
0:19.9	with Jim Levine, who's a world-renowned literary agent.
0:24.0	He's someone that people submit their book ideas to, and then he helps them write the
0:29.6	proposal and present them to publishers so that they can ultimately get published.
0:34.4	But the thing about Jim is that he is just a very, very smart guy who knows
0:41.1	his business cold and can really assess whether a book or an author has potential.
0:47.7	The other thing about Jim, I learned after listening to your conversation with him,
0:51.3	is he's a genuinely curious guy. I mean, he told you he's
0:54.6	reading a book right now called Quantum Physics Made Me Do It. He's a literary agent reading a book
1:00.6	about quantum physics. So this guy is just genuinely interested in the world around him. And I'm excited
1:06.4	to dive into our questions for today that go a little deeper into what you talk to Jim about. So are you
1:11.3	ready for it, David? Let's go. Question number one. Okay, David, you're in the middle of
1:22.3	wrapping up your next book. And Jim says that writing a book is really just half of the publishing process. The other half
1:30.0	is marketing the book and getting it in front of the right audience. David, I want to hear what
1:35.5	your experience has been like with this book compared to books you've written in the past.
1:40.1	Well, cool. I'm really excited about my upcoming book. It's about my favorite topic, which is learning and how leaders learn.
1:46.9	And so it's been a labor of love for me. And it was a book where I wanted to make sure that I got the best possible publisher to give it a good shot in the marketplace.
1:59.3	And I'm really pleased that Harvard Business Review
2:02.4	Press has agreed to publish the book. They're very, very excited about it. They're going to make
