Welcome to How Leaders Lead. I'm Kula Callahan here bringing you another edition of three more questions with David Novak.

0:11.0

Well Kula, thank you very much. And today we're discussing my conversation with Jeff Yang, the founding partner and managing director of Red Point Ventures. Now, you probably have never heard

0:22.6

of Red Point Ventures. But let me tell you something. Jeff is a legendary venture capitalist

0:29.5

that started this firm, and he's invested in a ton of companies that you have heard of and have

0:37.0

become enormously successful.

0:39.7

Companies like Stripe, Netflix, Sonos, and Draft Kings.

1:28.4

or an idea, you know, how do you know that something is going to be successful or if something

1:33.0

is going to be a bust? And in your conversation with Jeff, he really talks you through the process

1:37.6

and gives so much insight into why he makes the investments that he does and how he analyzes the people that he is going to

1:45.9

invest in. So if you haven't listened to the Jeff Yang episode, go back in the feed and give it a

1:51.3

listen because it really gives you kind of the inside baseball into why successful venture

1:57.2

capitalists invest in the companies that they do. And you know what, Kula?

2:01.3

It doesn't matter whether you're a venture capitalist or you're in a company or you're starting
