Breaking Crime News Now, a California babysitter, FaceTime's parents explaining how their

three-month-old baby boy was hurt and that it was an accident.

Parents Chris Musselman and Torrey Nelson say the babysitter, Tanya Hamilton, says she

fell on baby Braxton and woke up and he was

unresponsive. But hospital employees say the injuries are not consistent with that story. Instead,

are from severe head trauma from shaking. The baby's injury so bad, his pupil ruptured,

surgeons had to remove half his skull to relieve

the pressure. Hamilton arrested on felony child abuse-related charges. Crime stories Nicole Parton

explains. Nancy, the three-month-old infant from California has suffered a serious brain injury and a

ruptured pupil after being allegedly shaken by his babysitter,

this according to the Madeira County Sheriff's Office. They said they received a call for a medical

assistance regarding an unresponsive baby. Baby Braxton was quickly transported to a nearby

hospital where he underwent emergency surgery due to

significant head trauma. Following an extensive investigation, 50-year-old Tanya Hamilton,

a caregiver who is not related to the family, was arrested and charged with felony child

abuse, as stated by the sheriff's office. The boy's parents endured a six-hour wait while their son was in surgery,

and they were devastated by the news delivered by the medical team afterward.

They described their disbelief and heartbreak over what has happened to Braxton.

They said in part he is currently missing the entire right side of his skull. We are uncertain if he will return home with a skull or without one. Brackston is expected to face a lifetime of challenges, including potential neurological issues, seizures, vision impairments, the need for physical therapy, multiple surgeries, and specialized medical
