On the morning of Wednesday, June 11, 2003,

9-year-old Christian Ferguson mysteriously vanished.

His father, Duan, placed a call to 911 to report that his SUV had been stolen

and that his son was in the vehicle at the time.

Diego was later recovered by police and it was noted that while several valuable items had been left behind,

the child was the only thing missing.

What began as the hunt for a missing child would slowly transform into an investigation of his father,

the man charged with taking care of him, as evidence began gathering, suggesting that Duan knew exactly what had happened to his son.

Duan was ultimately charged with first-degree murder 16 years later in 2019.
