But before we get to Stu and the Mailbag, we have an interesting guest,

especially if you were a diehard football fan

who loves X&O's and Talking Scheme. We're going to be joined by Mike Kuchar. He is a coach,

but he also dabbles in writing. And he has a very cool site called X&O Labs, where they, it's

really a site for football coaches, he'll tell he'll explain more about

the site and and the work they do but this year they just did a report on big trends in football

and things we're going to see more of in 2017 and i thought it'd be i thought it'd be really

insightful if we could have him talk about that and also some of the

coaches who are who are on the sharp end of the curve and doing some really innovative things

and forcing the rest of their coaches brethren to react to the changes they're making.

So with that, let's get to our guest.

And now we are joined by Mike Kuchar, my old colleague from my ESPN days, who is one of the brains behind Exxon O Labs.

So let's talk a little bit about this research and work you've done with the help of a lot of college football coaches about trends

that are coming to the mainstream.

I mean, is it even that the fairest way to put it, or is it stuff you think we've started to

see a little bit?

Now here we're going to see more of the answers and the counterpunches to this stuff.

I think it's mainly a situation where now these concepts have been developed, now they're tweaking them and moving them forward.
