In New York City, if you're just tuning in, I am wearing an L today.

It's the second consecutive Evan and Tiki program in which I've had to wear an L, but it's for different reasons.

I wore an L on Friday because my prediction that Nolan Aranaato would be a Yankee by opening day was wrong, clearly L-worthy.

I'm wearing one today because about a month and a half ago and we were making predictions on who would lead off the most times for the Yankees in 2025. I openly mocked Tommy's prediction that the answer would be Paul

Gulchman. And instead of just saying, hey, that's a great choice, Tommy. We'll see what happens.

I opened up my big fat mouth and said, he won't even lead off one time this season. Obviously,

he's already done it twice.

He let off on Saturday against Nestor Cortez, led off with a home run, and then surprisingly

followed it up on Sunday, which was against a righty. So we'll keep an eye on it this week with

Aaron Boone. They're facing three right-handers when the Diamondbacks come to town. Does he go back

to Austin Wells, who started his game as a lead off hitter by hitting a home run, correctly predicted by Tiki?

Or is Paul Goldschmidt have a real chance to take this?

He's been in the league for a long time.

He's never been a leadoff hitter.

So think about how innovative the leadoff spot has been.

First time in Yankee history, a catcher leads off. And then Paul Goldschmidt, a potential future Hall of Famer, has never let off before.
