as you age, you save more of a percent of your pay for retirement.

That you may be in your 20s, maybe in your 30s.

You got a lot of other things going on in retirement.

It seems like it's a million years away.

Maybe you're not so into saving for retirement.

Then, this is something I've said forever, is that once you hit age 40, you're more likely

to focus on saving for retirement.

Well, I am wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong according to a new study done at Stanford University

that finds that regardless of if you're in your 20s, your 30s, your 40s, your 50s, that

the average amount that people put aside of each dollar they make for retirement, the

average is four cents, four cents of each dollar, regardless of which age band.

They haven't divided out by age band in the Stanford study and it shows this average.
