I've got to tell you a funny thing that takes me back a generation in the 90s.

Think about that. That was a whole different millennium ago, right?

In the 90s, I was talking constantly about the value of putting money in series-eye saving

bonds. They were an incredible thing to own then.

They paid you a base rate of interest in the I stood for inflation.

You got the interest automatically just for breathing, and then on top of it,

you got an additional interest payment every six months for inflation.

You can get the money that was just embedded in the value of the series-eye saving

bond. Really, we were in error then, where the inflation ones were the deal,

the others that were the regular old savings bond series-ease, not a deal at all.

You're allowed to buy 10,000 of these each year. Now, you used to be able to buy much more.

But for a smaller saver, they're now a deal again. I thought that was so funny.
