0:32.0	So you grew up in San Antonio.
0:34.0	I did. I grew up in San Antonio, Texas girl through and through,
0:38.0	and was there until I went to college up in DC.
0:43.0	What was that like? What was the change like?
0:45.0	I traveled a lot growing up, and I don't think that I was necessarily sheltered
0:50.0	from different cultures and food and whatnot but moving to DC is
0:56.5	cliche as it sounds it really is a melting pot and it was really eye opening to be in a city that had so many different cultures all coming together.
1:08.7	All those different melted pots.
1:10.0	Yeah, all of the melting pots.
1:12.0	I've never seen so many.
1:13.0	Like, I didn't know it could be melted in that many ways.
1:15.4	Like, handles melted, lids melted.
1:17.6	And altogether, too, it's just this big jumbled mess
1:20.9	of melted pots.
1:22.8	What were your goals back then?
1:24.1	At the time I really wanted to get into politics.
1:27.4	That was what I thought I was destined to do.
