In today's episode, I share a story about a time in college I used a shortcut to get what I want to.

Spoiler alert, it didn't work out too well for me.

Jacob used a shortcut too.

He was impatient and he manipulated his family to get his way.

It didn't work out well for them either.

Friend, there are no shortcuts with God.

He doesn't need our help to speed up his plans.

Don't take matters into your own hands.

Be obedient and wait on the Lord.

This guy spends the day on the golf course with his friend who happens to be a doctor.

Comes home from playing golf and the wife says,

well, how is the golf game?

He said, well, I played with the doctor.

How'd that go?

And the guy said, well, what would you think if every time you were about to put somebody stuck a golf club in your ribs?

What would you think if every time you were about to hit the ball, somebody screamed in your backswing?

And what would you think if every time you hit a ball in the fairway,

somebody walks out and they step on top of it and press your ball down into the grass?

The wife said, well, I don't think I would like it.
