Hello, everybody. Welcome to Latter Day Struggles. This is Valerie again, and I'm so excited to have Fiona Givens back today. We went deeply into some conversation about some of the early mystics, especially the beautiful Julian of Norwich,

who teaches us about the true nature of God. And we also talked a lot about how influential her work has been in Fiona's life. And today we have a special treat. We are going to just be a

little bit more autobiographical, I guess. that she has become as such a beautiful and tender influence on so many of us on our faith journeys

here and around the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterty St.

So Fiona, I am going to probably just ask you a couple questions here or there, but really,

more than anything, I would just love for you to share with us your story.

your early life, your education, and how you came into the church as a young woman.

Yes. Thank you. I was born in Nairobi in Kenya.

My two brothers were born in Dara's Islam in Tanzania.

I spent the formative years of my life in East Africa and just loved it.
