close to home. I mean, not too close to home. I live in Dorset, and we're going to go to the

northeast right now where Nissan is halting production of the UK made leaf.

The pioneering electric vehicle, the Sunderland factory in the UK, will stop making the leaf.

I think either the end of this week or the next few days, it was a third-party report in the national

press, and it was based on people with knowledge of the matter.

So not a statement from Nissan, but over 280,000 of the 650,000 leaps out there were manufactured at the Sunderland plant since production began there in 2013.

Now, this cessation paves the way for Sunderland's facility to upgrade.

And that's good news because it will

accommodate the manufacturing of three all-new electric models, one of them, I'll call New Leaf.

Nissan plans to invest $3.8 billion, that's $3 billion, into the production of an all-electric

cash kai. That's a very, very popular family

car if you're not aware of that model, an all-electric duke, which is smaller and again insanely

popular here, and the next generation leaf. The upcoming leaf model is hinted to have a similarity
