Hello, my friend, sure hope you're doing well today.

Parenting, it is a challenging, worry-inducing job.

But it's not one you're left to do alone.

In today's episode, we're talking about the power of a praying parent.

May the story of gyros in Mark chapter 5 remind us all that God hears the prayers of parents

because our kids were kids before they were ours.

Pediatrician was examining a four-year-old girl.

As he looked into her ears with his instrument, he said,

you think I'll find Big Bird in here? She didn't say anything.

Next, the doctor took a tongue depressor and looked down her throat.

He said, you think I'll find the cookie monster down here?

And she didn't say anything.

He put a stethoscope to her chest as he listened to the heartbeat.

He said, you think I'll hear Barney in here?

This time she had something to say.

Oh no, she said, Jesus is in my heart.

I can't say anything about Barney in his location,

but the fact that Jesus is in her heart is due quite probably to a praying parent.

You know, parents have the assignment of a lifetime.
