The filtering in politics is done through the selection processes of these two parties, three parties.

That's why you get identicate PPE idiots from Oxford, the

govern us. They're all the same. They think the same things. That's why

their programs are so superficial and political discourse is so superficial,

child-like almost.

We are the SDP a party of the Conservative left, to the left of labour and economics,

and we are more socially conservative in the Tories.

Our job is to try and raise the game, be serious and I think

there is an appetite for seriousness in politics. The public deserve it actually.

It's good to have you on on always good to talk to you about

politics especially with this general election we have coming in the UK on the 4th of July and I

wanted to get your feeling about the election.

Listeners will know that you are the leader of the Social Democratic Party and I wanted to know what it's like to be at the

coal face of an election like this one.

So I'm observing the election slightly from a

distance. I'm not involved in it. Some days I feel incredibly uninspired by it

when I hear what the Tories are saying and what Labour are saying and then other days I do feel a bit more stirred up not least by some of the stuff that you guys are doing and also by the appearance of reform so there are interesting things happening as well, kind of nipping at the heels of the
