Today I welcome back my friend, functional medicine registered dietitian, Brigid Titgemeier, to talk about all things postpartum. Brigid and I are both nutritionists who have experienced postpartum depletion, along with many other challenges (and joys!) that come with being a new mom.
Brigid is also the CEO and founder of Being Functional Nutrition, a digital coaching company that has helped more than 20,000 people use food, targeted nutrition, and lifestyle strategies for better labs, symptoms, and a relationship with food.
She recently launched The Being Collective, a meal plan and coaching membership with blood sugar balancing meals, a meal planner, and automated grocery lists. In the midst of running her business and creating a new program, Brigid gave birth to her daughter McKinley. She is now pregnant with her second.
In today’s episode, Brigid gets honest about navigating postpartum and a second pregnancy at the same time. We both share advice for supporting your body postpartum through nutrition, supplements, and nutrient testing. We talk about trusting yourself as a parent, advocating for your child’s health, and balancing work as a new mom. Plus, we explore meal prepping, feeding picky eaters, and Brigid’s go-to supplement stack.
The postpartum season is full of so many blessings, yet it can also be very overwhelming. Brigid and I encourage you to listen to yourself and give yourself grace along your journey.
