For everyone else, let's grab some tissues.

To start, John's going to talk a little history, but don't get scared.

He's simply trying to understand how society, albeit one nearly a hundred years ago, could

rational the killing of a kind-hearted soul like Joe Eriddy.

In fact, similarities between Joe's story and our world today are striking, although

perhaps just hidden in plain sight.

Joe had the mind of a four-year-old child, endured with a sense of wonder, bringing so

much joy and laughter to those around him, even to the ones who believed he should die.

Maybe we can all learn some things from Joe.

Perhaps it's not the Joe's who grew up too slow, but for all of us who grew up too fast.

I'm going to run through Henry Eriddy, the father, his background.

I'm going to run through a lot of stuff.

Henry Eriddy, we do not have a picture of him.
