| 1:26.0 | And this is Tom Myers. And today we're spending time in a place that's often described as the quote, heart of Brooklyn, downtown Brooklyn, which is the governmental business and commercial center of the burrow. |
| 1:40.0 | I've been in Brooklyn resident for several years. And so this is kind of my backyard. I'm in downtown Brooklyn almost every other day. So I was really especially excited to dig into this story. |
| 1:53.0 | It's a very fascinating history because it's an area that's transformed and adapted for over 200 years as Brooklyn itself, the city, and then later the burrow, grew around it. |
| 2:06.0 | Now it's not exactly in my backyard, but I do pass Greg regularly under J Street burrow hall. Sometimes I just get out of the subway and kind of wander around and take it all in. |
