Join Bryan Dean Wright, former CIA Operations Officer, as he dives into today's top stories shaping America and the world. In this episode of The Wright Report, Bryan updates listeners on the Washington terror attack that claimed the life of National Guardsman Sarah Beckstrom, reveals that the attacker was a former CIA-trained Afghan special operations fighter, and explains how failures in vetting thousands of Afghan partners brought to the United States have created a national security dilemma. He also previews next week's coverage on espionage, Russia's military buildup in the Arctic, China's push to control London's water system, and Representative Eric Swalwell's proposal for voting by phone, which intelligence agencies warn is dangerously insecure.

It is the day after Thanksgiving. I hope your day and your travels yesterday were peaceful and

0:27.6

restful. Your belly is big and full. I am busy preparing this morning for next week with a lot of

0:33.0

news to cover already. We'll talk about the latest, of course, on the terror attack in Washington,

0:37.3

D.C.,

certainly needs prayer, and as they said, frankly, a miracle. So if you are so inclined, please do pray

1:00.6

for him today. The terrorists who killed Ms. Bextrum, we now know as a former CIA-trained

1:05.5

special ops fighter in our war in Afghanistan, a lot of questions about that. We'll discuss about how the agency

1:12.6

vetted our Afghan partners abroad, but even after they arrived in this country as well, clearly

1:18.5

that's a failure. So what does that failure then say about not just this gentleman who shot

1:23.1

and killed Ms. Bextrum and the other, but also the thousands of Afghan military and intel partners

1:27.8

who are inside of this country right now, along with hundreds of thousands of other Afghans here, too.

1:34.0

Well, as you might imagine, it's not good news, and the White House is aware of that.

1:37.6

They're ordering a full stop and a full reexamination.

1:40.7

Many of those folks as appropriate, but I fear folks it will not be enough.

1:45.4

And I will share with you my personal experiences as to why I believe that's true.

1:49.8

We will also cover more news from the world of warfare and espionage with some listener
