This is sort of a strange story.

We bought the place.

And I budgeted about 30,000 euros to hire someone

to do a renovation.

But what I didn't understand was that in Spain, when you buy

a place you pay all the taxes at the purchase,

you don't have high property taxes every year, like in the states.

So the 30,000 euros that I had budgeted for renovation

were reduced to about 8,000 euros very quickly.
