informant. In this situation, be consulting with attorney before you do anything or say yes to

anything the police are offering you. The police say that Rachel chose to do this, but with everything

they were threatening her with, it really doesn't seem like she had much of a choice, does it?

Unfortunately, Rachel chose to ignore precautions established in a previous briefing.

It's just appalling to me that they ever thought this was a good thing to do in the first place

from a pure safety standpoint. What's so mind-blowing to me is not only did they make all of these

decisions, but they still stand by their decisions. You don't think she was pushed into it,

coerced by your officers? Again, we don't threaten people to become confidential informants.

They knew that they had somebody vulnerable that they could manipulate. They knew they were going

to be able to scare her into doing this for them. The rewards of pulling this off far exceed the

possible risks here.

about 23-year-old Rachel Hoffman and her murder. It's a different type of case because Rachel was

a confidential informant and things went terribly, terribly wrong. It's truly a tragic story,

and we have a lot of thoughts to get into, so we should probably just jump right in.
