Today's episode is part 2 of Jill Tomback's cancer survival story. If you haven't had a chance to listen to the story of Jill's diagnosis at age 25, and her path to find the best treatment plan for ridding her body of cancer. We also discuss why Jill ended up having 9 surgeries in just over 4 years! If you haven't had a chance to go back and listen to part 1 of this episode, you can listen to it here.
We get to the emotional side of cancer in today's episode and Jill also walks us through that reasons that she had so many surgeries - there were 9 in 4 years, so that's a bit remarkable. Jill also shares with us her reasons for second guessing the Western treatment that she had, and also re-iterates her resolve to try Gerson therapy if she ever faces this issue again.
Before we get to the episode, we wanted to make a quick public service announcement. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so you may notice more focus on the "Pink" campaigns. There are many "charities" that say they support breast cancer, and actually a very small percentage of their budget actually goes towards the cause. Instead their CEO's have outrageous salaries and many people besides cancer patients are benefitting from your donation.
That's why we recommend making a donation to the Gerson Center. It is treatment that we believe in from folks that can stretch dollars to reach as many people as possible. Do your research before you give, and make sure your donation dollars are really going to support the cause.
