Erik & Molly Lilja have been married for 28 years, have 10 children (ranging from ages 6-24). They are grandparents and are expecting their second grandchild at the end of February. They started their family in New York City then moved to Seattle. They live in a very busy, downtown area. They have found a way to not just survive as a Christian, homeschool family, but to truly thrive there. Their kids and home culture are an inspiration to us. They have so much joy between the two of them, regardless as to what life has thrown their way and what God has allowed. They communicate and truly believe that everything is an opportunity and a part of God’s plan.

0:00.0	So we lived on the northeast corner of Central Park, 109th and Fifth Avenue.
0:03.3	Molly was working at Goldman Sachs. We were full on kind of doing the professional world thing.
0:08.0	We were using birth control. We didn't had no plans for children. My fourth year of medical school, Drew was born.
0:14.9	We caught a vision for having children in the city.
0:17.8	We thought, wow, this is kind of incredible.
0:20.3	There's so many opportunities and resources.
0:22.4	And we went out to dinner for our 10th anniversary and Eric's like,
0:26.0	I don't want any more children.
0:28.0	I'm like, what?
0:30.0	We really, I love having children.
0:32.8	Eric one day came to me.
0:34.2	He's like, I was so wrong.
0:35.8	Like, why wouldn't we have as many children as God would give us?
0:39.0	If children are a blessing, like who doesn't want a blessing?
0:42.8	In the book you just talks about training children with basically a lot of farm work.
0:46.6	I couldn't relate because we didn't have horses or cows or pigs.
0:51.0	What I realized that you can use all kinds of things to train your children to be
0:54.3	disciplined and for hard work.
