Okay, now on to today's episode, journal writing and gratitude for healing anxiety.

You've heard me talk about gratitude many times here on

the podcast and there's a reason for that. Gratitude or how we like to call it a thankful heart is really good for the mind and the body.

Sometimes we hear these things so often that we just automatically think that we're doing these things, that we're being

thankful or that we have gratitude.

So sometimes it's a good thing to stop and to consider what our what I like to call our

gratitude aptitude is. It's like taking your temperature. We want to look in and see what is my gratitude aptitude,

how much gratitude, how much time am I spending in gratitude.

And we want to see if we can add a little bit more if we're lacking.

You know, gratitude is goodness.

It is like medicine for the mind, body, and the soul. In order to be with what in the present moment, like we're always talking about, to actually be in the present moment and celebrate that present moment, we need to be honest and aware of our thoughts, our feelings, and our emotions.

So when we begin to slow down and do this, we begin to include

everything in our life. We begin to include what I call the isness of life, the ups and the downs, the joys and the pains equally.

That is a time when we really can be able to say,

yes, I am with the present moment.

It doesn't have to be, quote, good.

It doesn't have to be perfect, and it doesn't have to even be what I want but I'm with it

We are with the isness of life and so we're with the joys the the ups and downs, and the pain all equally.
