I've got a bunch of update briefs for you this morning. Things that we have covered over the past number of months, but with fresh details this morning, that, as always, are still shaping America and the world.

First, breaking news from late last night, an update, by the way, to our looming

fights with China, Mexico, and Canada. President-elect Donald Trump announced that he's

going to slap another 10% tariff on China beyond the expected 60% because they have failed to

apply the death penalty to Chinese drug dealers who were shipping fentanyl chemicals to Mexico

and the U.S.

Quote, I had many talks with China about the massive amounts of drugs, in particular

fentanyl, being sent into the United States, but to no avail, end quote.

And so he said it is now time for another 10% tariff guaranteed until the death penalty

is applied in China for those drug dealers. Next, Mr. Trump also said last night that Mexico and

Canada would be assessed a 25% tariff until they locked down our northern and southern borders

together helping us to stop illegals.

Quote, this tariff will remain in effect until such time as drugs, in particular fentanyl,

and all illegal aliens stop this invasion of our country."

So we will come back to this as we learn more, especially the reactions from Mexico,

City, Ottawa, and Beijing. But bottom line, and pivoting to some quick analysis and opinion,

Trump seems quite serious here, to the point, J.D. Vance later chimed in, saying that it is time

for our friends and our neighbors to do their part on the borders.

It's just a basic obligation, he said.

And if they don't, well, they're going to pay for it.
