| 0:58.1 | And that brings us to Pennsylvania. |
| 1:00.5 | Pennsylvania was able to vote in favor for independence and do so unanimously, |
| 1:04.5 | because two of its delegates who were opposed to the matter |
| 1:07.4 | were persuaded not to attend the vote. |
| 1:09.5 | And one of those two delegates was John Dickinson. |

| 1:15.0 | but later he would refuse to sign the Declaration of Independence. |
