The power of the church to address the world is the power of truth. The truth which is not an

idea but the flesh and blood of a savior. The Bible isn't about us. Bible is for us and in it's for usness it presents Jesus to us.

Luther is often accused of creating a new church. Catholics to this day blame him for that.

He was trying to reform the church.

Instead of accepting the criticism, the Pope excommunicated. Now that was what broke the unity
