In the beginning I would never share about my own inner experiences. I would always make up a fictional character and say this teacher that I know he's about 80 years old and this is what happened to him and this is what he learned and because one I didn't want anybody to be focused on me and two I just didn't feel comfortable sharing the depth. It seemed too crazy to the uninitiated so I wouldn't express it I would express it but I would put it on this other

character and now over the years I'm more willing to share the

intimate experiences that I go through even some of the depth. I never was that

afraid to share the challenges, the foibles, but I didn't want to share the other stuff.

So now, whatever's up I can share, as long as it's leading people to themselves

and to a greater understanding of who they are in their relationship to the Light Watkins show I'm Light Watkins and I love to

interview ordinary folks just like you and me who've taken extraordinary leaps of faith in the

direction of their path, their purpose, or what they've identified as their mission in life.

And in doing so, they've been able to positively impact and inspire the lives of many other people who've either heard about their story.

And if there's one thing that I've learned from conducting hundreds of these interviews,

it's that those defining moments, the ones where we choose to follow our heart over what's comfortable, are the moments that create the most significant change in our lives.

And these are the moments where we step into our true

true self and in doing so we often end up inspiring many people around us in ways that

we can't even imagine and my guest today is Reverend Michael Beckwith. As you may remember,

the Rev's been on the show before. And if you know his story, you know that he found it at the

Agape International Spiritual Center in Los Angeles, which is a place that I used to frequent back when I first moved to LA back in the early 2000s.

Reverend Beckwith has been featured all over the place. He's been in multiple documentaries. He's been on the

Ellen show. He's been on Oprah, you name it. I consider him to be a mentor and his is one of the most

respected voices in the worldwide spiritual community.
