Between July 2021 and the writing of this article, August 14, 2021, at least thirty-seven cats have been murdered around the Manenberg Township in Cape Town, South Africa. These feline victims were brutally mutilated, their organs displayed in public areas like trophies.

Serial cat killings are not a recent phenomenon, nor do they only happen in South Africa. This article highlights the recent string of feline mutilations and sprees in the past few years where some killers actually caught.
