really important in Disney history, especially Disney animation.

Disney legend Bernie Mattson, who was an animator, a director, a producer, and story artists at Walt Disney Studios, the animation studios. He passed away Monday, February 27th. He was 87 years old. He was still active at Disney, and he worked there almost 70 years.

He was the longest serving cast member in the history of the Walt Disney Company.

He was going to receive his 70th anniversary service award on June 4th.

This would have been the first 70th anniversary service award ever, you know, ever given out by the Walt Disney Company.

He directed Mickey's Christmas Carol in 1983, and that was the first time Mickey
