So far, that's not really news.

Since Uchowski, who's a very well-known publicist, filmmaker, and gay rights advocate is also very well

known for his eccentricity, his thought-provoking columns, and his television appearances. But this time,

things got a little bit out of hand. On a Friday evening family talk show, Uchhovsky said,

quote, we should declare war on the Haredes. They're like a cult, end quote.

Almost immediately, Uchhovsky received hundreds of phone calls and messages from random people

who called him for very peculiar reasons. Thankfully, Uchowski's life and career has made his

skin thick. As a screenwriter and a producer, he's written and produced

some of Israel's most famous movies, including Yossi and Jagger, Walk on Water, The Bubble,

all of these directed by Aiton Fox, his partner. They also recently are releasing a movie called

Sublet, which is going to be released in the United States in June. Those movies, these movies have redefined the conversation about homosexuality in Israeli cinema.

As a columnist, Uchowski has written for many years in Mariv newspaper, and now he's writing for the popular website, Maco.
