0:00.0	Welcome to the Jay Scott Outdoors podcast. I am actually recording here from Nashville, Tennessee. I'm in the airport.
0:08.0	I just got done with the National Wild Turkey Federation Convention and it's about 7.30 in the morning,
0:18.4	Nashville, Tennessee time here. I guess that's Central Time and had a great opportunity to watch a friend of mine,
0:29.3	Bo Brooks, Casey Brooks' son, Bo, called in the intermediate division of the National
0:36.7	Wild Turkey Federation calling contest and he was able to out of 15 contestants he finished fourth and I got a nice big
0:48.4	trophy and it's great to see the progress he's made in his own turkey hunting and excuse me turkey calling
0:56.8	he's come a long ways and a couple of those kids even Even in the Polk Division, the Young Division, the
1:05.7	younger Division, I should say, and the juniors, just an amazing caller. Some of
1:12.4	them could call in the Pro Division. They're so good.
1:15.0	So it's awesome to see the young talent doing their thing and Bo came all the way from Washington, him and his family to compete and he did a great job and got a big old trophy and I'm proud of him.
1:33.4	So I want to shout out to him.
1:35.6	He makes his own turkey calls, makes his own elk calls, and I actually haven't used his turkey calls yet but I used his mouth
1:46.9	diagrams a lot this this season and I really like the single lady.
1:55.0	It's a single read call that he has.
1:56.7	He also makes doubles and triples, but I've always been kind of a single read guy and so I'm anxious to try out the turkey
2:06.9	calls as well. We've got you know one of the things with me coming to the show at National Wild Turkey Federation
2:15.3	is that it's for the last several years it's been at the same time as the the NWTF and the Western Hunting Expo have been at the same time and last year I went to the
2:29.9	Western Hunting Expo and that's such a great show and I hated to miss that show but also
2:36.8	hate to miss NWTF so I understand next year the shows are going to be staggered so hopefully I'll be able to
2:45.5	attend both. I wanted to take time here on this podcast this morning while I
2:50.0	had some time here in the airport just to answer a few questions from listeners and see if I could
2:58.9	provide some value here this morning.
