What is Beautiful Day?

It is a Providence-based social enterprise with a unique mission to provide comprehensive paid job training to refugees who are involved in every step of making their award-winning gourmet granola.

They run four paid training programs, job training for adults, internship programs for youth,

ages 15 to 18 with community partners, entrepreneurship training for Afghan women interested in

starting food businesses, and management training for refugees interested in learning

customer service and sales skills by managing

one of our farmers markets. Job training programs further their mission, connecting refugees

to their communities through business, job training, and education. And the refugees come from

all around the world. Syria, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Democratic Republic, Congo, Miramar, Burundi, Somalia, Eritrea, and Iraq.

They speak different languages, but their granola chef, originally from Iraq, helps their refugees

go beyond language barriers to fostering teamwork and building confidence while making

granola and learning English.

Their program is 350 hours, approximately three and a half months.

They also help them pursue higher education or get job placement or start their own business.

Their granola is delicious.

It is made with organic oats, grains, seeds, nuts, dried fruit, spices, no preservatives.

Binding all this goodness together, local honey and the pride of spirit of newcomers rebuilding their lives.

And this granola is different. It is designed for snacking.
