Summary

HUGE UPDATE! Chesa WON! Chesa Boudin knows prison and the criminal justice system very well. When he was 14 months, his parents, Weather Underground members Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert, were incarcerated for driving a get away car in a robbery that wound up killing three men. Chesa's mother was released after 22 years, but his father will never leave prison. Boudin became a public defender and is now the latest example of a progressive, decarceral lawyer running for the DA's office, in the tradition of Larry Krasner and Tiffany Caban. The San Francisco mayor pulled what many, including the ACLU, see as a dirty trick by naming her favored candidate the interim DA. For more info go to chesaboudin.com https://www.chesaboudin.com/
