encryption. Don't worry, my Russian ways are not going to hack into anyone's phone or computer.

I'm just going to have a very distinguished guest, an expert in this

area, talk about what encryption is, how it works, what does it mean to an everyday American.

Encryption continues to be a policy issue that pops up here and there and will probably not go

away for a very, very long time.

Issues with law enforcement constantly applying pressure on companies to create backdoors

to aid them in criminal investigations is obviously very complicated and they're both sides to consider.

Most recently, US government has urged Facebook to compromise the encryption features in its

messenger app, which has been used by MS-13 gang members. But what would be the consequences of such

measures to our liberties, our rights, our privacy, and a technological safety? How does exactly encryption work work is what we're going to start with.

And to help us with that, we have Nevrup Mitter, C.F. Armored Text.
