The Growth Curve.

All right. Oh, I should say Karen is not here. She's on vacation. Matt's producing behind the glass.

So we're going to talk about the growth curve.

And it's something I learned years ago. The growth curve didn't come from me, but

but basically it goes like this. The best organizations have to go through

downturns in order to experience the next

wave of growth and improvement. We've talked a little bit about this on an

episode a year ago, but avoiding those downturns, which is so common in

organizations and personal life

leads to a guarantee that the next upswing won't happen.

Which is why continued growth is so hard because companies after they

experience some level of success,

their leaders often are afraid to risk that success
