Summary

Two recent popular facebook discussions in our community prompted me to record this short episode today. One of those discussions revolved around the most common fears shared by many new online business builders and that's the COST and RISK of getting started. The otherĀ discussion showed us what the reality of day to day work looks like for so many in our community. My goal for this episode is to convince you that you DO have what it takes, the risks are TINY and the cost is MINIMAL. Success is within your grasp! Notes at SilentJim.com/podcast

Hey, this is Jim. Welcome back to Silent Sales Machine Radio. I have an episode today for you about the actual costs involved in launching an internet-based business. One of the very popular misconceptions that pops up very frequently in our group, especially

0:23.9

when I'm talking to those who are new to selling online or growing a business or they're

0:28.4

maybe considering it still and kind of weighing out their other options, one of the most popular

0:33.6

misconceptions is that you're going to need a stack of money to do this. You're going to

0:38.0

need to set aside a nice reserve. You're going to need to invest something. You can't make money

0:45.1

until you spend money type of mentality. And while that is true for the vast majority of business

0:50.9

opportunities in the world, it's simply not true when it comes to building a

0:57.7

business using the internet creatively. It's one of the two promises that I make in the

1:02.6

silent sales machine book. If you've read it, those two promises again as a reminder are you're

1:07.2

not going to need a big stack of cash to do this. It gives you no advantages to have

1:12.2

huge reserves of cash. The strategies we teach make those reserves of cash. Well, I'm not against

1:18.5

having a reserve. It doesn't give you any big advantages. We have people start with zero in the bank

1:24.6

and they do great and we have other people take off with piles of cash

1:28.5

in the bank that they never touch and do great, but you don't need a stack of cash. So the two promises

1:32.8

are, one, you don't need a bunch of money. And the other one is, I'm not going to talk about it on this

1:36.6

episode, but just as a reminder, you don't need to learn a bunch of new technology. Okay, so what do

1:42.4

you need in order to successfully launch a business, specifically in

1:47.3

the arena of cash reserves? How much money do you need to have on hand to do this? Now,

1:54.4

don't misread what I'm about to say. I'm not saying go quit your job tomorrow because you

1:59.3

don't need any money reserved to

2:01.5

start a business. It could take a few weeks or a few months, although some people take off super

2:07.2

fast. You know, I mean, as recently as episode number 218, we met Oscar, started with zero,
