Welcome to the Brendan O'Neill show coming to you live from Podcast Live in London. I'm Brendan O'Neill, that's why I present the

Brendan O'Neill show and this is a podcast in which an esteemed guest joins me to talk about the big issues and the mad issues of life in the 21st century.

And I'm always keen to have guests who are interesting, provocative, maybe a little bit dangerous, and today's

guest conforms to all of those expectations. Rod Little doesn't really need an

introduction but I'll do a brief one anyway.

Rod is a columnist, he's a documentary maker, he is a controversialist, sometimes by accident, All of us are controversial

as these days accidentally.

He writes for the spectator, the Sun and the Sunday Times.

He has made numerous documentaries and he was editor of the Today program for a while

which always strikes me as quite odd that they would let you do that. It's it's

fair to say he causes a stir every now and then.

Last year, some Welsh people reported him to the police

after he wrote a piece in the Sunday Times describing the Severn Bridge that connects Wales to England

as a bridge that connects Wales to the first world, which is pretty funny. Also last year Rod was nominated for the Islamophobe of the year
