So in the past few weeks we've talked about ballistics and bullets and related topics.

And today we're talking about a brand new rifle that's being released to the hunting market.

That's much different than what you might think of when you think of hunting rifle.

And it's also from a different company that you might think of.

So we're talking about the SIG Sauer Cross Rifle.

And the guest today is Patrick Canley, who's the product manager there at SIG,

who we have gotten to know over the past year or so,

gotten to see some of the development of the cross rifle behind the scenes,

shoot it at Shot Show, and then shot some prototype synths as well.

So it's an interesting concept. It's a completely different change of idea from what, again,

you might think of as a hunting rifle. And we dive into today, not just features,

not just like marketing points, but really the story behind the development of the rifle

that I was really curious to hear about. So how did SIG Sauer get into the hunting market?

Why did they get into the hunting market? And why did they do it with such a radical new design?
