Valentine's Day, it's all about perspective.

Like I was saying in episode 219, your mind has to be stronger than your emotions.

And how does that relate to Valentine's Day, you ask? Your mind has to be stronger than your emotions.

And how does that relate to Valentine's Day, you ask?

Well, this day has the ability to really throw people into a tizzy.

And I get it because I used to be one of those people who put a lot of weight on this day.

But I want to remind you that, well cute and all, February 14th is an extremely commercialized holiday.

A day where a lot of people put more emphasis on showcasing their flowers and chocolates on

social media than really cherishing the actual quality time

they would be spending with their boo. And I personally think that if the only day of the year

you get flowers is on Valentine's Day, then the person is probably doing it more out of a feeling

of obligation.

That said, though, don't get me wrong, I 100% feel that if you are in a relationship,

you definitely should partake. And even if it doesn't mean much to you personally,

the point is to make the person you're with happy. I definitely see it as a requirement for couples, a fun night out.

Like, you don't just skip over Valentine's Day.

But the point is, is that if you aren't in a relationship, don't allow it to suck the life out of you.

Is the world going to end because you're not in a relationship on Valentine's Day? No, the sun will set and rise again the following day.
