Summary

Goals are a great way to make sure you are on the right track to what you want to accomplish in 2024. This year we are approaching our goals a little differently in hopes that we are more likely to stick to them and achieve them by the end of the year.  Now that the first quarter has wrapped up and we are headed into April, we wanted to take a moment to reflect and share if we managed to accomplish the goals that we set up in January. From there, we look at the next three months (April-June) and share our new goals! Grab your planners and get ready to sit down to plan with us.  LINKS: Episode 210: #Goals: What We Are Doing Differently https://www.etsy.com/listing/1445686334/tiny-bar-necklace-custom-necklace-dainty Digital Personal Planner SUBMIT YOUR TIME SUCKING HURDLE! With the first quarter of 2024 in the books, we are digging into our goals. So grab your planners, pull all of your goals that we started in 2024,

0:22.5

and let's hold each other accountable with a little check-in. Which we're actually going to start

0:27.5

with a TSAH, and Bridget and I are going to share our own personal time-sucking hurdles lately,

0:33.4

although mine is not necessarily bad. It's just something that's been time consuming, although it is working toward one of my goals.

0:41.9

So I know we're going to dig into like each of our kind of smaller goals that we've had going on.

0:48.5

But spoiler alert, in the year 2024, I kind of had this overarching goal of reading 52 books in a year,

0:57.1

which, yeah, basically, it's on my 40 before 40 list as something I want to do.

1:04.4

Okay. And since my January goal was directly tied to reading, I was like, you know what?

1:09.8

I should just stick with it and try to

1:11.4

reach this goal of reading 52 in a year, which is essentially a book a week. It doesn't have to be a book

1:17.7

every week. Some weeks I could read two and then skip a week. Yeah. But I'm still on track. Like, I've kept up

1:24.9

with it. However, it is very time consuming because I've realized I enjoy

1:30.4

reading nonfiction more than I enjoy reading fiction. And nonfiction takes longer because there's more

1:36.9

for your brain to absorb. And I'm a note taker. I've gone through like five different

1:42.3

highlighters because I highlight as I read and then I

1:45.6

transfer over the things that I've highlighted into my notes app and it just really slows down the

1:51.1

process. But at the same time, I want to get the most out of it. So that has been my time-sucking hurdle.

1:56.6

Bridget, I know what yours is, but how but you tell the people?

2:03.7

Well, I'd much rather be having your time-sucking hurdle.

2:05.2

I'm just going to be honest.

2:12.3

Mine has been just slide decks, slide-decks, and more flipping slide-decks.
