All law enforcement officials are telling us that this appears to be a suicide and that

it was found in his cell around 6.30 yesterday morning.

How was he left alone in his cell for some time?

He's supposed to be checked every 30 minutes.

The question now, were those checks being done as appropriate?

He's in a cell.

On his own, it's a steel door with one window.

Guards supposed to come by, check every 30 minutes.

Was that enough time a gap for him to take his own life?

There was an incident back in late July, July 23rd, where it was an apparent suicide attempt.

Wasn't taken that seriously because it was questioned whether there was a ruse for him

to try to get some sort of transfer, but it was being looked into.

He was put on suicide watch.

He apparently convinced prison psychologists and the staff there that he was okay to return

to an isolated cell because being on suicide watch means you're in a cell by yourself,

no sheets being watched 24 hours a day, no clothing, just a smock to wear.

So the conditions he had been complaining about conditions in that prison for some time.

Again, the question, why was the decision made to take off, take him off suicide watch?

You don't have to ask the psychologist or psychiatrist who made those determinations.
