1:37.1 | I understood that the 21st century, like the century before, would too have its tragedies, its evil doers, its wars, and its suffering. |

1:55.2 | And however small an insignificant role, but one that nevertheless carries the responsibility to help. |
2:03.6 | I became an American that day, a citizen of the world. I felt the common humanity in all of us. |
2:10.7 | I felt the unity and the love and the days that followed, and I think most of the world shared in this feeling, |
2:16.4 | that we are all in this together. Evil cannot defeat the human spirit. |
2:22.0 | There were many heroes, song and unsung on that day, and in the years after. |
2:26.8 | Often politicians failed to rightfully honor the service and sacrifice of these heroes. |
