I remember the first day of spring practice. I'll never forget it. We get to practice and these guys are,

you know, teaching me little things and how to, you know, block and how to take a stick route and

things that someone that's never played the game have to learn. But Pete Carroll's son, Brendan Carroll was a tight-end coach so he was very helpful and uh I remember I was getting thrown around man I was like why am I getting thrown around these guys are throwing me around like a rag doll I could have figured out and by the time practice was over we're all in the locker room undressing and everyone's laughing at me I'm like man if was my first day, they're like making fun of me or what?

I didn't realize it, but my pads were on backwards. So these guys were throwing me around because I didn't have my straps on. But I didn't know because I've never played the game. So I was being thrown around and they're laughing at me. The guys were like, man, give them a break. the guys of volleyball players never played the game in his life, you know. And after that day, they started to respect me.

And they like my my go get on my attitude
