1:11.2	what I've been reading. Well recently I got the chance to read this new true crime book. It's called
1:16.4	Ship of Blood and it's about this disturbing Moiteris rampage that happened in 1905. It led to
1:23.6	this insane trial and I was actually given the opportunity to speak with the author of the book,
1:29.2	Charles Oldham, and learn more about the book why why he wrote it and just more about the story
1:35.0	itself. So I'm going to play that interview right now and then we'll top it off with a few
1:40.8	little leader stories. Here goes. Joining me today is Charles Oldham, author of Ship of Blood,

1:54.2	Well, thank you for having me. Before we get into this story at all, it's a crazy story. I was
2:00.2	lucky enough to get a copy of the book and I just want to know right up the bat what prompted you
2:06.3	to write Ship of Blood. Well, this is my second book and the first book that I wrote we published back
2:14.4	in 2018 and it was another another true crime story. Is that the Senator's son? Yeah, and that one
2:20.0	that one also was based in the case that occurred in Eastern North Carolina back in early 1900s.
2:25.6	Very much like this one. And after I finished that first book, you know, it got fairly good,
2:30.3	fairly good response and I thought I really wanted to write another one. So I was all of my options
2:35.8	were open and I was just looking around for another another story like that that I could really
