0:36.2	I sat down with Dr. Thomas Seifrede. He is a professor of biology, genetics, and biochemistry at Boston College and his research
0:45.8	focuses mainly on the mechanisms of chronic diseases like cancer, which is a lot of what
0:51.0	our episode is about, but also on epilepsy, neurodegenerative lipid
0:55.2	storage diseases and caloric restriction diets.

1:06.2	found regarding cancer. What he is found in his studies will change the way that we treat cancer in the future. He talks about how
1:14.9	cancer is not a genetic disease. Genetics play a small, small role sometimes, but
1:22.3	what he found in his studies is that it is actually a metabolic
1:27.8	disease and we go into depth about what that really means and what that looks like as far as treating cancer.
